Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement for Repair

1.1 The terms set out in these Conditions of Repair (“Agreement”) shall apply to the service (“Service”) we provide to repair your smartphone, tablet, computer, laptop, or any accessories (“Device”) as indicated on the service check-in form.

1.2 References to “us,” “we,” and “our” refer to Technology Demands, and references to “you” and “your” refer to you (“Customer”), the individual named on this form.

2. All Repairs (unless otherwise stated)

2.1 This Agreement shall commence from the date you sign the service check-in form and shall continue until we have repaired or returned your Device, whichever is sooner, and received any payment due from you.

2.2 We will make reasonable efforts to repair your Device, subject to the availability of necessary parts and any applicable warranties or guarantees. All Services will be provided with the utmost care and skill.

2.3 We offer both high-quality aftermarket and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts (where possible) for Device repairs.

2.4 If available, we also offer genuine Apple, Samsung, and other manufacturer parts for repairs, ensuring diagnostics, tools, and processes meet their specifications.

2.5 For full diagnostics and functionality tests, we require the passcode or access credentials for your Device. If you prefer to withhold this information, please note that we cannot perform a full functional check, which may delay the Service if adjustments are needed.

2.6 Any time estimate for completing repairs is approximate and not binding. We will aim to return your Device as quickly as possible, although complex repairs, such as logic board repairs (Level 3), may take up to 5 working days or more.

2.7 If repairs cannot be completed or incur additional costs, we will notify you immediately. If no fault is found, or if you decline a revised estimate, we will return the Device unrepaired and may charge a diagnostic fee as per our standard pricing.

2.8 If disassembly is required for diagnostics or repairs, it may result in further damage to the Device. We are not liable for any additional damage caused by pre-existing issues or further damage resulting from disassembly. Replacement part costs will not be covered if the Device is deemed irreparable.

2.9 Repair costs will be calculated according to our standard pricing, available on request.

2.10 Diagnostics are a chargeable, non-refundable service.

2.11 We will notify you when the Device has been repaired and is available for collection. If uncollected, the Device will be stored in our central facility, and delivery charges will apply for retrieval.

2.12 We reserve the right to retain your Device until all charges have been paid. Additional storage fees may also apply.

2.13 By agreeing to repairs, you accept that any parts removed during the repair process will be retained by us for safe, environmentally responsible recycling.

2.14 Use of our repair service may void your manufacturer’s warranty. Please take your Device directly to the manufacturer to avoid this. Manufacturer warranties typically do not cover accidental damage.

2.15 All repairs include the installation of warranty seals. Tampering with these seals will void the warranty.

2.16 Technology Demands offers warranties on parts, based on the following terms:

  • Smartphones, tablets, and laptops: Parts are covered against failure but not against liquid or accidental damage.
  • If your Device has liquid damage, any parts replaced are covered by a 3-month warranty.

2.17 The warranty is linked to the specific Device identified by its serial number or IMEI and the specific Customer in our system. It covers only the original fault and part replaced; additional faults will not be covered.

 

2.18 Our warranty applies only to customers residing within the UK.

2.19 Warranty repairs do not cover any travel, postage, or courier costs incurred.

2.20 Technology Demands is not responsible for progression of damage in Devices previously repaired elsewhere or that have existing issues (e.g., “Touch Disease”). If such issues are detected during repairs, we will notify you.

2.21 Technology Demands is not responsible for additional damage to Devices affected by liquid. Opening the Device could lead to further damage, which may be irreparable. We advise customers to monitor Devices for additional issues post-liquid damage repair.

2.22 Water resistance or proofing cannot be guaranteed after repairs.

2.23 If any part is damaged during repair, we will replace it with a high-quality non-OEM part.

2.24 We recommend inspecting your Device upon collection. Any concerns should be raised immediately with our team.

2.25 All repairs requiring special-order parts must be prepaid and are non-refundable.

2.26 Only one promotional discount can be applied per transaction.

2.27 For courier repairs, it is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure Devices are packed securely before collection. Return packaging will be provided.

2.28 Refund requests for completed repairs will involve reversing the repair, and any replaced parts will be retained by Technology Demands.

3. Refurbished Devices

3.1 Refurbished Devices purchased from Technology Demands, either in-store or online, are entitled to a 14-day return period, during which you can return the Device for a refund or exchange, provided it remains in its original condition.

3.2 Refurbished Devices come with a 12-month warranty. If any fault is found during this period, we will repair or replace the Device. Warranty coverage remains 12 months from the original purchase date.

3.3 Online purchases must be returned through our online returns process. In-store purchases must be returned to the original Technology Demands store.

4. Liability

4.1 Our total liability for any claim related to this Agreement will be limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the Device, as outlined in this Agreement.

4.2 If your Device is damaged beyond repair due to a fault in our Service, we will provide a refurbished replacement Device of equal value. Any replacement may take up to 10 working days.

4.3 You are responsible for backing up your Device. Technology Demands is not liable for any data loss or corruption during repair.

4.4 If your Device is lost or stolen while in our possession, we will replace it with a comparable Device.

4.5 Our liability does not extend to indirect, special, or consequential losses, including business losses, revenue, or profit.

4.6 We will not be liable for any claims unless notice is given within three months of the issue.

4.7 Our “Logic Board Repair Service” does not guarantee a fix and may worsen the damage. In such cases, we will refund the cost of this repair.

5. Data Protection

5.1 Your personal details are collected to notify you about your repair status and for after-sales support. We may send you promotional information if you have opted in. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

6. General

6.1 We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control.

6.2 Any indulgence or delay in enforcing rights under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such rights.

6.3 This Agreement represents the entire agreement between you and Technology Demands.

6.4 This Agreement may only be amended in writing and signed by both parties.

6.5 If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

6.6 This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
